Prepare for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion
“
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.”
Matthew 26:26-28
In the Holy Eucharist, we receive the true Body and Blood of Christ, the source and summit of our faith. In this sacred mystery, we are united to Jesus in His sacrifice, nourished with His divine life, and strengthened as one body in the Church. “Truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you” (CCC 1384).
Our Religious Education program prepares students to deepen their understanding of the mystery of our faith and to receive the Eucharist, so that through this sacrament they may grow in a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
