Description: Introduction of the basics of Christian faith to       non-believers or those who have been away from the church.  

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks.  Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.  Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome.

Description: Financial guidance through prayer.

Compass Catholic Ministries teaches Biblical financial principles from an authentically Catholic viewpoint. The Compass Catholic studies use the Bible, the Catechism, quotes from saints and popes as well as the United States Bishop’s Pastoral Letter on Stewardship (Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response) to help people put their finances into the proper perspective so they can become good stewards of God’s many blessings.

The Bible has more than 2,500 verses on how to handle money and possessions. Everything we need to know about money can be found in the Bible. It tells us how to spend, save, give, and manage money. 

Pope Francis has said, “Money has to serve not rule.” The Compass Catholic studies help people escape from the consumerism of the American culture and find peace and contentment in the Lord. As people begin to learn and apply financial principles from the Bible, they are transformed into real stewards of the many blessings God has showered upon them

THE FIRST EMMAUS RETREAT WAS HELD IN THE ARCHDIOCESE OF MIAMI AT THE DOMINICAN RETREAT HOUSE IN 1978.

It was developed and conducted by a team of laywomen from St. Louis Church in Kendall and since has spread to parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Miami, other cities, states and even internationally.  The retreat is based on the scripture passage found in Luke 24:13-35, where Jesus appears to two disciples who are on the road to Emmaus, after Jesus’ resurrection.

Emmaus gives you an opportunity for personal, spiritual growth simply by discovering a new relationship with Jesus and others. It allows time for you to reflect and affords you the opportunity to meet Jesus on your personal journey; to get away and look at yourself as a Christian / Catholic.

Both the Women’s and the Men’s Emmaus Groups host several in house retreats throughout the year, offering all parishioners a special time to get away from our fast-paced lives and spend the weekend with Jesus Christ.

Misión:  Promover un mundo más feliz, basado en valores familiares católicos, a través del enriquecimiento y fortalecimiento de un matrimonio centrado en Dios.  Educar a ambos, esposo y esposa, a través de la comprensión del plan de Dios para el matrimonio y del entendimiento de las diferencias y semejanzas entre hombre y mujer, para que ambos puedan tener un matrimonio y una familia más felices.

Descripción: Nos reunimos una vez al mes por 1 ½ hora para presentar y dialogar sobre temas relacionados al matrimonio y la familia. Estos temas incluyen:

•  La relación entre esposo y esposa
•  Relación entre padres e hijos,
•  Relación entre la familia y la comunidad y
•  La relación entre la familia y la sociedad

La estructura de nuestra reunión es la siguiente:

•  Oración Inicial
•  Repaso de compromiso previo
• Lectura del tema
• Diálogo y análisis
• La Palabra de Dios relacionada al tema
• Nuevo compromiso
• Oración final

That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers.  The program harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive!
This group meets weekly on Thursday mornings at 6:30 am for a short video and discussion.
